Crypto Payment Guide

A step-by-step tutorial on how to pay for your eBooks using USDC on the Ethereum Network

Introduction to Crypto Payments

Welcome to our comprehensive guide on making payments with cryptocurrencies. For your convenience, we accept USDC (USD Coin) payments on the Ethereum network. USDC is a stablecoin that is pegged to the US dollar, meaning one USDC is always worth approximately one US dollar.

For practical reasons, this guide demonstrates the process using Binance, one of the world's most popular cryptocurrency exchanges. However, you are free to use any exchange of your choice such as MoonPay, Coinbase, Crypto.com, etc., as the process is similar across most platforms.

Note: If you already have a Binance account with USDC available, you can skip directly to Step 5: Withdrawing USDC.
1

Create a Binance Account

First, you'll need to sign up for an account on the Binance platform if you don't already have one.

  • Navigate to Binance.com in your web browser (Depending on your country of residence, Binance may show you a link that will redirect you to your country's specific Binance page, for example Binance for US customers, Binance for EU customers, Binance for UK customers). You can also download the mobile app from your device's app store.
  • Click on the "Register" button in the top-right corner
  • Choose to register with either your email address or phone number
  • Create a strong password that includes a mix of letters, numbers, and special characters
  • Check the Terms of Service box and click "Create Account"
  • Complete the verification process by entering the code sent to your email or phone
Tip: Make sure to use a secure, unique password for your Binance account and enable Two-Factor Authentication (2FA) for added security.
2

Complete KYC Verification

Before you can buy or transfer cryptocurrencies, you'll need to complete Binance's Know Your Customer (KYC) verification process.

  • Log in to your Binance account
  • Navigate to the "Identification" or "Identity Verification" section
  • Select "Personal" account type
  • Fill out your personal information including full name, date of birth, and address
  • Upload a clear photo of your valid government-issued ID (passport, driver's license, or ID card)
  • Take a selfie or complete the face verification process
  • Submit your verification documents and wait for approval (usually takes 1-30 minutes, but can take longer during busy periods)
Tip: Make sure your ID document is fully visible, well-lit, and all text is clearly legible to avoid delays in the verification process.
3

Fund Your Binance Account

Once your account is verified, you'll need to deposit funds to purchase USDC.

  • Log in to your Binance account
  • Click on "Wallet" in the top navigation menu, then select "Fiat and Spot"
  • Click the "Deposit" button
  • Choose your preferred deposit method:
    • Bank transfer
    • Credit/debit card
    • Third-party payment providers
  • Follow the on-screen instructions to complete your deposit
  • Wait for your deposit to be confirmed and credited to your account
Tip: Bank transfers typically have zero or very low fees, but processing can take longer. Credit/debit card deposits are usually instant, but carry slightly higher fees.
4

Purchase USDC

Now that you have funds in your Binance account, you can purchase USDC.

  • From your Binance dashboard, click on "Trade" and select "Spot Trading"
  • In the search bar, type "USDC" and select a trading pair with your currency, such as USDC/USD or USDC/EUR
  • Enter the amount of USDC you wish to purchase
  • Review the transaction details, including the price and fees
  • Click "Buy USDC" to complete your purchase
  • Confirm the transaction when prompted
Tip: You can also use the "Convert" feature on Binance for a simpler way to buy USDC. Simply select the currency you want to convert from, enter the amount, and select USDC as the target currency.

  • Find USDC in your asset list and click the "Withdraw" button
  • Enter the withdrawal amount (the total price of your eBook)

  • Double-check that you have selected Ethereum as the network - this is crucial!
  • Review all details carefully before proceeding
  • Click "Withdraw/Send" to proceed
  • Complete any security verifications required (email code, 2FA, etc.)
  • Save the transaction ID (TxID) for your records and for verification purposes

6

Record Your Transaction ID (TxID)

After your withdrawal is processed, you'll receive a transaction ID (TxID) that serves as your payment receipt.

  • Once your withdrawal is processed, Binance will provide a transaction ID (TxID)
  • Copy this ID and save it securely
  • You can view your transaction history in the "Wallet" section under "Transaction History"
  • Include this TxID when completing your order on Cognitifly to help us verify your payment
Tip: After confirming payment, you can download your files either by clicking the download button or by sending your TxID to [email protected]

Frequently Asked Questions

What is USDC?
USDC (USD Coin) is a stablecoin pegged to the US dollar, meaning 1 USDC is designed to maintain a value equivalent to 1 USD. It offers the advantages of cryptocurrencies (fast transfers, low fees, blockchain security) while avoiding the price volatility common with other cryptocurrencies like Bitcoin. You'll always get 1 USD for every 1 USDC and vice versa!
Why do I need to use the Ethereum network specifically?
We require the Ethereum network for USDC transfers because it offers significantly lower transaction fees compared to some other networks like TRON. This ensures that you're not paying excessive fees on your purchase. If you prefer to use other networks, you can contact us at [email protected]
How long does it take for my payment to be processed?
Typically, payments on the Ethereum Chain are processed within 1-3 minutes. Once the transaction is confirmed on the blockchain, our system will verify your payment and grant you access to your purchased eBook(s). During periods of high network congestion, this may take longer.
What if I sent my payment using the wrong network?
Unfortunately, if you send USDC using a network other than Ethereum, we may not be able to receive your funds. In such cases, please contact our support team immediately at [email protected] with your transaction details, and we'll do our best to assist you.
Can I use a different cryptocurrency for payment?
Currently, we only accept USDC on the Ethereum Chain for cryptocurrency payments. This helps us maintain stable pricing and efficient processing. If you'd like us to add other payment methods to your purchases in the future, you can email us at [email protected]
How do I contact support if I have issues with my payment?
If you encounter any issues with your crypto payment, please email us at [email protected] with your transaction ID (TxID) and a description of the issue. Our support team will assist you as soon as possible.
